This is what I found when I walked out my backdoor a few minutes ago…
I guess you’d have to know that out the back door is a lot of nothing. We haven’t gotten flowers to grow there yet. This just happened to pop up.
You’d also have to know that I’m not a “flower person.” In fact, when my mother wanted to “add some landscaping” this year I was very specific – No Annuals! Perennials, no problem. Annuals, no way. And I wasn’t budging.
Its not that I *hate* flowers. Its really more that I just hate digging in the dirt. (True story: When I was a baby, I never crawled. I got up and started walking. When I fell down in grass, I apparently would look up at the adult with a very disgusted look on my face and put my arms out and *cry* until someone picked me up!) I have never liked dirt unless I was digging in the vegetable garden with my PopPa.
These were not there on Saturday when I went out that door. Some time between then and now, these beauties popped up and bloomed in their glory. As I walked to the car, my muse started to nudge me. She knew there was inspiration in that natural wonderment.
Tell me about you: How many times have you pass by something in nature and find inspiration? What inspires you most? Do you write about it? Take a picture of it? What was your most memorable natural inspiration?
